With the amount of damaging treacheries in Journey to Rhosgobel, it is nice that Gimli can soak some of this up. Thalin can take some hits from questing as well. Éowyn is more vulnerable, but allows you to race against this quest more effectively.
It is important for this deck to keep finding A Test of Will to deal with ill-timed treacheries. Northern Tracker can help with some of the locations, but you probably do not have time to get him out.
Horseback Archer can deal with the creatures that can only be attacked or defended by Eagles or Ranged characters. Unexpected Courage can help protect Éowyn as some treacheries only damage exhausted characters.
