This is mainly a support deck. It will be pretty hard to beat non location focused quests with this deck in true solo. However, playing it feels pretty different and lot of fun.

I've made several changes regarding the 1st version, replacing some attachments that weren't as useful as they looked, and swapping out a couple of allies. In general terms, the deck is now a bit cheaper and a bit more location-focused.

Heroes:

Notes:

  • Scouts are not good in defensive tasks. Our best option to stay alive is chump blocking.
  • Haleth and Wiglaf must be played as Elf-stone's response.
    • Spending 4 rounds and 4 resources to pay for Haleth will be harmful for this deck.
    • Note that Wiglaf's response cannot be triggered ("play" vs "put into play").
  • Wild Stallion best targets:
    • Wiglaf. In addition to boosting his stats, it will be a target for his response.
    • Súlien. She turns into a 4 quester and a 3 defender (no one on this deck is going to have better stats).
  • Do not play Dale Messenger unless you have selectable targets for her response:
  • Keep in mind that, once dettached from Haldan, Thrór's Key can also be swapped between locations.
    • Swap it, at the beginning of the quest resolution, from the active location to the next location to travel to, and Haldan will be ready for questing without exhaustion another round.
    • Note that by doing this, the Key will not count towards Haldan's response.

But... why Wiglaf?

He is a weird addition, I know, but I like the idea of having one big ally per hero.

Haldan has Haleth, Idraen has Súlien... Lanwyn also deserves the same attention and Wiglaf is the only one available.

His response is useless on this deck, since there is no way to play him from hand (besides, no attachment fits him). On the other hand, his stats are pretty decent for this deck, and he is also the best target for the Stallion.

One last comment is that using the Elf-stone to play him fits quite nicely with the many "attachment on location" triggers present on this deck.

No better argument comes to my head... In case of removal, I would include a second copy of Súlien.
