... paraphrasing Boromir ever so slightly here, but it seemed a fitting name for this deck. It wasn’t really intended as a mono-sphere when I first started thinking about it, it just ended up that way when I never needed anything else.
It’s a Gondor-deck that tries to get the maximum out of the various global buffs (Boromir, Faramir, Visionary Leadership and Sword that was Broken), by pumping out multiple cheap allies.
This locked in Boromir and Aragorn as my hero-choices. Denethor isn’t needed for the global buffs (and various other heroes could be considered), but he does seem to be the perfect glue-card that balances out the deck. He gives me an initial defender, balances my initial threat, and his starting resources helps counter the decks low starting .
-Denethor did also seem like a nice thematic win, giving me a complete set of Gondors ruling family in my Gondor-deck.
-“Promoting” Aragorn to Gondor-status, and having him lead the army of Gondor, isn’t bad for thematics either (although he off-course wasn’t a Steward).
The deck is pretty straight forward to play:
-Mulligan for Steward of Gondor.
-Armored Destrier for Denethor, but Aragorn or Boromir can also be considered as targets. Visionary Leadership for Boromir. Every other attachment goes on Aragorn.
Then it’s just various accelerators and cheap allies, for a massive buffed army.
