Comments and suggestions are much appreciated—I'm here to learn.
I recently received some much-appreciated advice that Tactics isn't a great choice when journeying along the Anduin, so I'm going to revisit my Spirit/Lore deck and consider a Leadership/Lore deck. The stubborn side of me, however, wants to continue to explore ways to win this scenario with a party that includes my favorite Core Set hero, Legolas, so I built this deck.
Built For: Journey Along the Anduin
Approach
Limitations: Core Set only
Heroes: Legolas is currently my favorite hero because of his high (especially with Citadel Plate attached) and ability to also place progress tokens. I added the two less expensive Heroes, Denethor and Beravor, to generate enough resources to quickly play Forest Snare.
Allies: Gandalf is the most important Ally. Most of the others included are inexpensive Allies that have at least 1 .
Attachments: I've now realized the key to defeating the Hill Troll is to trap him using Forest Snare. Citadel Plate will help a lot against the Hill Troll as well.
Events: Feint and Quick Strike are helpful in combat. Radagast's Cunning can reduce threat in the staging area.
Played Against: Journey Along the Anduin on 2018-09-06 and lost again (follow the link for details).
