This is an updated version of Direct Damage Zone to be used in Multiplayer. This deck is even more focused on dealing direct damage. Gone is the Tree People and Silvans. In their places are Powerful Guarded Cards. And, most importantly, Bilbo Baggins.

Quite simply, in a multiplayer game you will make combat MUCH simpler. Quest with Thalin to deal 1 direct damage to each enemy revealed. Then, use Argalad who should have 3-5 to deal another damage and cancel the threat of an enemy. If an enemy stuck around in staging from the previous round use Bilbo to do a 3rd damage. If no enemy was in the staging area, keep Bilbo ready, armed with Sting and a Spear of the Citadel to do 2 more direct damage to an enemy you engaged.

When you play a Guarded card hope for an enemy. Argalad and Bilbo do 3 direct damage which means it is very possible to get that card the same round you played it without engaging the enemy.

There are cheap allies to help you get the most of Hail of Stones. Sometimes it may make more sense to hold Argalad back to aid in combat. Achievement Unlocked if you use Glamdring and Foe-hammer to draw 4 cards.

You should have a lot of options to continuously deal out the direct damage all around the table. Perhaps even more importantly, it is a ton of fun to play.

The Sideboard contains Marksman of Lorien, Straight Shot, and Rivendell Blades. These should be added if you are playing a quest with Mumakil or Wraiths. Get rid of Skyward Volley, Necklace of Girion, swap some bows for blades.

Great stuff @TheChad. Thanks for the updated deck.

I paired this deck with a willpower heavy mono-spirit Éowyn/Glorfindel/Cirdan deck to power though the Ringmaker cycle. It was crazy good at getting moving fast and countering all those stupid Dunlendings that won’t leave you alone the whole cycle.

@FearlessFennthat is really cool to hear! I built it to be a fun deck to pop into a 4-player game. Never intended it to be a in a 2-player fellowship. I am very glad it took out those Dunlendings! Curse them!

I guess the reason this doesn't work as well for 2 players is that the defense in this deck is a bit weak, right? Some Feints or Gaffer Gamgee might be helpful in that sense.

@Mythdraconcorrect. if you can't direct damage them to death first, you will need someone to defend for you. I think it works best when the other deck is able to handle a quest in solo and you are trying to eliminate enemies prior to them attacking.

Ok, good to know. I don't have Bows of the Galadhrim, what cards from the sideboard would you recommend as replacements deckwise? And if Argalad gets two Daggers of Westernesse instead, I suppose he could be almost as good right? Is Farmer Maggot any good here? I imagine there are at least a few cases where you have enemies still engaged with you from a previous turn.
