The original version of this deck was built to beat The Stone of Erech. It steamrolled the quest in seven rounds, only losing one ally to the boss. Key draws were Light of Valinor and Unexpected Courage in the first round, setting up Glorfindel and Éowyn for success. Star allies were definitely the three North Realm Lookout paired with Grey Cloak, giving them two willpower and no exhausting to quest. Of course, drawing all the Pelargir Shipwright didn’t hurt either! Prince Imrahil is also someone I look for ASAP to throw attachments on and pull double duty with Valiant Determination.
I kept this deck around after Stone of Erech and paired it with a hall of fame deck, Direct Baggins Zone, to roll through the whole Ringmaker cycle. It is a wonderful quest power deck that can also hold its own in combat. Next step is to refine it for true solo play.
