Strictly a 3-4 player deck. Provides a little questing and a little attack, but once it's set up, it handles unlimited defending.

Greenwood Defender has 2 . On the round he enters play, with Arwen Undómiel, Narya, Hauberk of Mail, and Celeborn, he has 6 , 4 hit points, sentinel, and does not exhaust to defend. He can also dual-wield Round Shields to handle the occational shadow that puts an enemy above 6 .

Of course, his ability only lasts for that 1 round, so we need a way to recur him. With The Elvenking, you can pull him back each round (his armour coming with him thanks to Bard). And with the resource acceleration from O Lórien! and Steward of Gondor, you should be able to keep playing him over and over.

Now, there's a lot of moving pieces here, so it does take a little while to set up. Your friends will have to manage defense for a couple rounds on their own. So I'm not going to say this combo breaks the game or anything, it's more for the fun of the combo than anything else.

P.S. Speaking of fun combos, once you find the 1x Spare Hood and Cloak, you can put it on Arwen Undómiel, so that you can target Arwen as the second ally with Narya, then send the cloak over to the defender. That will bring the defender up to 7 , and when the defender leaves from The Elvenking, you get it back with Bard and can play it on Arwen again next turn.

You call it a three or four player deck my friend but it casts a HUGE shadow! Noldor, out. Dale, out. Anything requiring Steward, out. Glorfindel hero, out. Jus’ saying. And at least one of the other decks needs to run arrows.

@Bullroarer Took Yeah, it's obviously a deck you build a fellowship around, not one you pull out for a random pickup game.

I knew somebody would make this deck someday. Glad it was you! However, since this is designed to be a part of a large fellowship, I think the way to do this more efficiently to make a two deck fellowship that each handles part of the components here. So instead of one deck trying to find six or so pieces you've got two decks each looking for three. And then you can add one or two decks (at a pick-up game or otherwise) to have a full fellowship.

@The Purple Wizard I agree. I think the same holds for the Vigilant Dúnadan strategy. You can put all the pieces in one deck, but it will be slower than if you have two decks working on it.

I'd be interested to see what this + "Maching Gun Elladan" + 2 other decks could do against the black gate as a carefully constructed 4-player fellowship. With both infinite defence and infinite attack and 2 whole decks fully dedicated to , location-handling and controll you should be able to hold out for an extreme lenght of time (provided you get the pieces together quick enough).

New player here and trying to understand Greenwood defender's ability. Does it mean that on the round he comes into play he can basically defend an unlimited amount of attacks from enemies (since he doesn't exhaust), provided they don't kill him of course? I think so but just want to make sure I'm reading it right. Thanks!
