Idea comes from this (thanks to Marcelf for the inspiration) : « If Sméagol is your last hero, and Stinker flips him to Gollum, you are not eliminated. Any damage that would be dealt from undefended attacks [framework step 6.4.3] while you're in this state evaporates into the ether. »

Ideally you want to start with Followed to help you quest, but Elf-stone is also a good solution if the scenario allows it.

Get some allies into play, then replace Sméagol with Gollum. Treebeard can help to pay some ents after that.

You don't need to defend or kill the ennemies, so just quest away :)

I have not tried this deck in multiplayer, but i would probably take a 1-cost attachment for one of the other deck.

sure you are not eliminated if he flippes? if i remember correctly you loose if you lost your last hero. if he flippes you no longer have a hero, he is enemy then.

IF it works i recommand some good tales (cost 0 u can play them even if smeagol is flipped) and the secrecy-cost 0 elves. yes you can only play 1 of them per round, but better than nothing.

Well done @Emmental! I think it's a very interesting concept, I wonder if it could be efficient in multiplayer...

@doomguardyou are eliminated if all your heroes are in the discard pile.

o.k.then my no-hero-dol guldur deck is"playable" (see ringsdb.com starts with 0 heros because the hero is captured)

i have added there the ered luin miner and and well equipped to have discard.

@all heroes in discardpile, can you quote it? or was it later claryfied? in my core rulesbook stand, a player quits the game if all heroes where killed, that is a different wording, but i only have the german version. depends what exactly is right. if killed is right it can be played with several heroes: caldara, folko, boromir and mount gram could be more interesting even if you have 0 hero but at least 1 captured left.
