Discard Pile
|
Warden of Arnor 5911
So it turns out that Caldara with her ability to recur allies from the discard pile works pretty well with the Noldor archetype that discards tons of cards from hand. How surprising! [/sarcasm] (It'd be better if we maybe got a few more powerful Spirit Noldor allies, but still)
Not as good at Caldara-ing as a more dedicated Caldara deck, nor perhaps as good at Noldor-ing as a dedicated Noldor discard deck, but the hybrid is nevertheless pretty potent once it gets going. Better in multiplayer where someone else can cover the early-game, especially early-game combat, but this deck is no combat slouch once it gets going between Glorfindel, Háma, Narya, Lords of the Eldar and so on. Just not right out the gates. Questing, on the other hand you should be pretty solid pretty damn fast.
I'm curious about To the Sea, to the Sea. With only 8 Noldor allies (3 of which you can already play by discarding cards), do you really think it's a 3x? I think I would add another Glorfindel and/or Unexpected Courages first.
