Built for The Hills of Emyn Muil, strict progression style. Winning was easy on the first try, with this high-willpower deck (luck helped some, though, as none of the worst card of each encounter set was encountered).
The idea behind the deck is to concentrate on high willpower, with some treachery cancelation, and with some healing so as to handle the occasional damage. This helps with The Hills of Emyn Muil, as it contains many locations and some nasty treacheries. The deck is also light on events and attachments, so as to help with the two starting locations (which prevent their use when they are active).
Key cards:
- Éowyn: the usual willpower powerhouse.
- Glorfindel: helps with the dangers of the Hills (damage that ignores defense…).
- Eleanor and A Test of Will for canceling some of the nasty When Revealed effets.
- Many cards that bring a high willpower.
- Many cards that advance locations.
- Rivendell Minstrel is also useful for getting more Lore via Song of Wisdom and play, in particular, the 3-willpower Gildor Inglorion.
The deck contains mostly Allies: this helps with the starting locations of the Quest, as they prevent the use of Attachments or Events.
