I don't know that this deck is so great, but a lot of people (certainly including me) have a lot of trouble with The Battle of Carn Dum, so I thought I'd put up the decks I finally beat it with in 2-handed solo. (Companion deck: http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/20)
I went the Shadows Give Way route for my win condition. This actually makes hero Gandalf something of a liability; are his usual advantages worth the trouble in this particular quest? I don't know, but hey, I beat Carn Dum with it, so it can't be all bad.
