I used this deck in a saga playthrough up to and including Battle of Pellenor Field.
The basic strategy is to use healing(Daughter of the Nimrodel, Self Preservation) and repeated readying Erebor Record Keeper. To let Gimli tank and kill most enemies.
In the campaign target the Skilled Healer and Hands of a Healer boon. To get extra hitpoints and healing in setup. The Andúril boon is also wonderful as you can have Gimli counterattack for extra action advantage. It's satisfying to see enemies damage Gimli and thereby give him the power to take them out.
Treebeard is the main early quester. You can afford to damege him for precise questing or make a big push.
Pippin is there for low threat and extra card draw.

Feb 03, 2021Love the deck! You should consider adding a Song of Mocking to move damage from Treebeard to Gimli for some controlled damage buffs |
Feb 03, 2021Good idea, at the time I didn't own Song of Mocking so I didn't include it. Put controlling the damage is good, too bad Treebeard cannot get buffed at the same time. |
Feb 04, 2021Wow this is fun! Will probably try it out! |
The missing cards were Anduril and Glamdring I think.
