How to have a riddle deck who does something ? That's a proposition : with Spirit, it has some cancellation and not too few willpower. It beats, with the companion deck, consistently Dungeons deep and caverns dim.

Jul 11, 2021Thanks for the comment ! I try to be "trustful" with my heroes and keep them for a cycle - or a saga. That's why Denethor is still there : I wanted to have encounter deck's control in the first two quests. But, naturally, you are absolutely right : another spirit hero will do better. To answer your question : I use his ressources by giving them to Bifur, in the deck #2 but it is clearly not the most powerful setup :) |
Jul 12, 2021Oh, okay, I didn't see the other deck, that makes a lot more sense! There's some pretty nasty treacheries in the first couple Hobbit scenarios. |
This is a neat idea for a deck! I'm sure Denethor and Eleanor are helpful. How does it work with all the hordes of enemies in that scenario? One idea...you only have three cards in the deck, so I imagine Denethor always has way too many coins. Maybe you could experiment with using another hero instead? That would make it so much more like for you to be able to buy. Maybe Fastred or Dáin Ironfoot or Beregond? They're all heroes with high defense.
