This deck and Khazad-dûm - Hunter's Deck are designed to get you through the Khazad-dûm deluxe expansion.
Note this uses cards from one copy of the following: Core Set, Hunt for Gollum APs, and Khazad-dûm expansion.
This deck primarily focuses on combat, defense, and some minor healing.
Heroes
Since Bifur is the only Lore hero, you will need to make use of his Action. You will likely have extra resources so use that ability to help get some Lore resources. I really recommend using A Burning Brand on Bifur if you are going to use him as a defender.
Gimli is going to be your primary damage dealer. I recommend getting a Citadel Plate on him and either the Blade of Gondolin or Dwarrowdelf Axe pretty early to fully enjoy the heavy-handed monster Gimli can be!
I feel that Thalin is underrated. I commit him every turn and with Dáin in play Thalin quests for 2 . In some of the quests, he can kill enemies straight off the encounter deck - which is fantastic!
Allies
Daughter of the Nimrodel is going to be your go-to healer. Daughter and Lore of Imladris are the only ways to get healing in either deck!
Erebor Hammersmith can be good to get some questing going on this side of the table. I don't find myself using the Response most of the time.
I was really surprised by how much I liked using the Erebor Record Keeper. Its ability is really good if you have an extra Lore resource. If not they make a pretty decent quester for only one resource.
Gondorian Spearman is great with Thalin in this deck. Some enemies in this expansion only have 2 health so once Thalin deals one Gondorian Spearman can come in for the kill and live to tell the tale!
I do like to wait and use Miner of the Iron Hills to get rid of a few nasty Condition attachments. Once in play, they can deal an okay amount of damage.
Veteran Axehand is a great cheap card made better thanks to the boost from Dáin.
Vassal of the Windlord and Winged Guardian are great (even if they aren't likely to be found in the mines!). Winged Guardian can stomach some nasty hits and Vassal can deal some damage.
Final Thoughts
Most event cards are self-explanatory. I will say that Ancestral Knowledge and Khazâd! Khazâd! are really great new additions. I found Ancestral Knowlege to be helpful with the many Underground/ Mountain locations. I like to use Khazâd! Khazâd! on the other side of the table to give the Spirit / Leadership deck a little more power to kill enemies when the need arises.
