Aragorn and Damrod take Gríma along for the ride, in this pretty effective solo deck. Some highlights:
Resource Generation: Using Grima's ability combined with his Keys of Orthanc, you are essentially getting 5 resources a turn (3 naturally, 1 from the keys, and '1' from the reduced cost of the ability.) Considering the deck is Mono-, this means pretty much any card is playable from your hand at any time.
Card Draw: This Deck draws through your cards quickly. Events like Mithrandir's Advice and Deep Knowledge are excellent, and Damrod's ability to draw when a trap attaches will trigger often enough. And if you find yourself with too many cards, Protector of Lórien can help boost your questing or defense.
Angry Trees: You will have an army of powerful Ents at your disposal. Wellinghall Preserver provides huge willpower for questing, and as a bonus will provide some healing for other Ents such as Wandering Ent.
Scrying: Use cards like Henamarth Riversong, Interrogation, and Rumour from the Earth to keep the Encounter Deck from throwing too many surprises your way. In a solo game, since only one card will usually come out per turn, knowing exactly what it is will be key. Use this knowledge to manipulate the staging area with your traps!
Action Advantage: With all that Scrying, Wingfoot will ensure that Aragorn can both quest and battle, while Treebeard can use his resources to ready himself or your other ents.
Threat Reduction: Your threat is going to rise quickly with this deck. Using Grima's ability every turn, and using Deep Knowledge to draw means a lot of DOOMED happening. Aragorn can be used to bring that threat right back down to the start.

Aug 21, 2017Just tried with my mate Aorakis on Into Ithilien. Well trap work fine but no healing in lore seems to be a flaw. |

Aug 07, 2019Awesome deck! I recently built a Grima/Damrod/Legolas and a Grima/Darmrod/Haldir deck and both of them are all about traps and Ents. They are a match made in Heaven. I really like your incarnation too and Aragorn is a solid character for the Wingfoot/Henmarth combo. |
Very interesting deck. Love it ! And also great with solo :)
