Here's a deck I used for beating City of Corsairs in solo.

Setup

Choose Silver Wing as your second ship in addition to the Dream-chaser. It will give your heroes +1 attack.

I like to Mulligan for Legolas.

Keep in mind your starting threat is only 25 (-3 from Eowyn and -3 from Silver Wing).

Turn 1

Don't commit to the sailing test. Don't commit to the quest. Just take the threat hit.

Engage the Stormcaller. Take it undefended on a ship. Defend the Corsair from the boarding keyword with Beregond.

Attack the Corsair with Eowyn, then ready her before the attack resolves and give her +9 attack (+10 with Silver Wing) to kill the enemy.

Attack the Stormcaller with Beorn (6), Eowyn (11), Dream-chaser (4), and Silver Wing (4), for a total of 25, to kill the Stormcaller in 1 blow.

Immediately advance to the next stage, and deal the 6 damage on your ship among characters you control.

Rest of the game

Take the rest of the game more slowly to build up your ally army. The final stage can be challenging!

Pretty sure Beorn still gets the Silver Wing bonus; it's not a player card effect, after all.

@Kakita_ShiroI think you're right!

Amazing deck and very helpful strategy to get through stage one. I ran it on easy mode solo to get a feel and won but found I didn't make use of Raven Winged helm or Close Call that much. I substituted those 6 cards for 2 Grapple Hook, and one Arod to put on Legolas as I almost got location locked a few times. I put in 2 Rivendell Blade and one Raiment of War. I realize I can't use them all at once on Legolas but whatever comes up is mighty handy with this quest. I ended up with one Rivendell Blade and a Grapple Hook on him when I ran this solo normal mode and crushed the quest. Thanks again, and interested in what you pro-deck builders think of my substitution.

@bodasafaGlad you liked the deck! I like your strategy of using Grappling Hook! It's a card I really don't use that often. I also did not have much need of Close Call, since Beregond does most of the defending, not Beorn. So it's probably a good substitution.

I wonder - if you manage to get the grappling hook in your opening hand, would a Cirdan/TacEown/Treebeard deck be able to quest through the first stage on turn 1?

Another great deck. I really like playing decks built with specific quests in mind.
