My effort at taking on the questing side of the board, as well as a decent amount of cancellation and threat reduction. There's also a decent amount of action advantage.
The main focus of the deck is going to be questing, but in case any enemies do slip over, Glorfindel and Fair and Perilous, along with a low-cost chump, should do the job. As soon as Merry has either a Fast Hitch or an Unexpected Courage, he can ready during questing to keep dropping your threat down. Northern Tracker, Asfaloth and Steed of Imladris should be able to rattle through most locations, leaving your partner to slaughter any enemies that come forth.
Gandalf is there for when threat doesn't really matter any more, and you want to get a powerhouse with some action advantage going.

Jan 03, 2017Good point. If I could work out how to set up a sideboard, it would have Gleowine, Peace and Thought, The Long Defeat, Hobbit Pipe and Daeron's Runes. I'd probably take out Elrond's Counsel and either Fair and Perilous or Galadhrim Weaver, or maybe one Fast Hitch. |
I like the concept here but you are almost completely lacking in card draw. Pippin's ability will rarely trigger if all goes well and the only other sources of drawing anything are the minstrels and Elrond. A lot of good and useful cards in this deck but that's precisely the problem---they're in your deck, not your hand!
