I thought that I was done with two hero decks, but I ended up going back to that well one more time. One of the nice things about this deck is that is gave me an opportunity to use cards like Vanish from Sight, Leaf Brooch and Lay of Nimrodel which I have never really used before.
Dúnhere is the engine of this deck and he should get Strider as quickly as possibly. Fortunately, we have an entirely reasonable 14 starting threat, and multiple ways of lowering our threat (Vanish from Sight from sight also counts), so it should be possible to get Resourceful attached. The first copy of Resourceful goes on Dúnhere, as we ultimately want surplus resources on him for late-game cards like Herugrim and Lay of Nimrodel.
Before we get there, the primary objective is to get weapons attached to Dúnhere so that we can use cards like Quick Strike and the entirely underrated Battle-fury to clear the staging area. Even without those events, we should be able to avoid most engagement and allow Dúnhere to attack them during the combat phase. Ancient Mathom and Foe-hammer provide card draw, but the deck has quite a bit of redundancy - the only singularly important card is Resourceful.
Like all of the two-hero decks, there are some fun combos at work here. Courage Awakened can be recycled every turn, at least for the early game. It not only boosts our questing ability (essential with so few allies), but it combo's beautifully with Battle-fury once we have Herugrim attached to Dúnhere. Likewise, Unseen Strike strike (another card I have never really used) is an excellent fit with our attacker, particularly if we somehow struggle to find weapons early. Leaf Brooch is another great card for this deck - low threat leaves in Secrecy for several rounds, and the real heart of this deck (beyond the weapons), is the events. Lay of Nimrodel is a late game card, to make up for the dearth of questing support, but is also a great way to finish off a huge boss enemy with Herugrim if the need arises.
As with all two-hero Strider decks, this strategy is not a good fit for some quests, but I think many would be surprised at just how effective and consistent decks like this can be. Enjoy!
Thematic and effective, as is to be expected.
@Beorn
