This deck, simply put, loves to engage all the enemies and loves to soak up all the blocking. It does not quest very much and needs to be paired with a deck that can attack and quest effectively. I do question if Heir of Valandil is really necessary if Amarthiúl is producing four resources (through his ability and Steward of Gondor) a turn. He also receives a Song of Wisdom which makes him able to pay for all three of the sphere's in this deck. Halbarad allows for me to optionally engage two enemies and buff my allies and allow Amarthiúl to get an extra resource and gain tactics.
What you want to see in your opening hand is Steward of Gondor and a Song of Wisdom to pay for all the things, and a Master of the Forge to find all the attachments you need. This deck basically runs itself if those things are found.
I was able to defeat a four player Belegost with this deck, and was able to engage and hold most of the enemies off (with a little help from Beregond) while the other three were able to quest through the different stages and kill the lurker AND the DRAGON! It was glorious!
