Discard Pile
|
doomguard 2253
strategy: get allies as cheap as possible perhaps free
try to discard cheap allies and get expensive ones back with Thengel this is specially cheap, if the discadrded comes for free with Lothíriel or discounted by Théoden
this works also well with The Muster of Rohan. (choose at least 1 allie that can be discarded and trigger Thengel
in many occasions if the Squire of the Mark is out (e.g. played for 0 with Théoden ) you can discard a valuable ally (like Westfold Lancer ) keep it by sending the Squire of the Mark to the victory pile and get a new ally with Thengel
be aware, Lothíriel do not have rohantrait from the start, try to find a Nor am I a Stranger soon. but even without rohan, she has several targets because of noble or gondor:
- Envoy of Pelargir
- Morwen Steelsheen (but she is better used with a cheap ally for permanent staying)
- Faramir
- Théodwyn
Morwen Steelsheen in combination with lothiriel and #theoden is also a discount deluxe:
if Morwen Steelsheen is in hand, use Lothíriels ability for free for an ally, then after questing but before end of phase, discard that ally to put Morwen Steelsheen into play and then use Thengel ability to search for an ally and put it into play, that means 2 allies for free + her response.
