if playing with Alep, then:
imo playing victorypile is not very effective in solo. and if playing multiplayer specially with secrecy and more res because of Resourceful (then i would take 3) the Gildor's Counsel is a extreme good card (it is not so good in soo because you can reduce the staging only to a minimum of 1)
Gildor's Counsel is original content so it makes it better in multiplayer nevertheless you use alep or not.
