Current version I'm using as of May 2017.
There's certain cards I'm not 100% sure about, and I keep trying new stuff without really being satisfied. Those would be Faramir (formerly Warden of Helm's Deep,) Steed of Imladris, the third Dagger of Westernesse, Will of the West (fun but maybe not necessary...)
Also not sure if I need the Treasure Hunter/Hidden Cache package. I often get my pipe card draw set up first.
I sometimes find myself wanting more attack power in games where no one carries the team's combat. 1x Quickbeam and Treebeard are no-brainers, just because their stats are OP. Feels kind of out of place though.
Suggestions would be swell! The core engine of the deck is awesome, but I could use some higher-impact cards once it's set up.

May 26, 2017Good effects, but awfully pricey... If I took those allies I'd have a decent reason to keep Treasure Hunter + Hidden Cache at least. I don't actually own the Harad packs yet, so I wasn't aware of them. Gildor probably wouldn't help all that much since I don't have native green resources. Finding Wizard Pipe is rarely much of a problem. |
Mar 02, 2019Would it be worth it to bring Ally Arwen and some Elrond's council? I tried playing something similar the your last version of this deck and this one. I quickly got a ton of cards, but not all that much in the way of resources. Thanks for the deck, it was a lot of fun to play and I will be trying it again! |
Mar 05, 2019Arwen is always solid just on stats efficiency alone... But I'd only want her as a 1x, and even 3x wouldn't be enough to reliably enable Elrond's Counsel. I haven't played in some time, I'm sure that new options have opened up... |
I really like the engine that you've built here. As far as high-impact cards, have you considered the unique Harad allies. Firyal and Jubayr both seem like a natural fit for this deck. Gildor Inglorion is another great choice for a Gandalf deck, in situations where you don't yet have Wizard Pipe in play. In any case, I am interested to see this nascent archetype develop.
