This is an RCO deck built with only cards from the revised core, Defenders of Gondor Starter, and Riders of Rohan Starter. The sideboard includes cards from the rest of the RCO that may be worth considering during deckbuilding as you expand your card pool.
Boromir is the heart of this Gondor Swarm deck. You'll want to give him Steward of Gondor and Visionary Leadership as soon as possible to ensure he always has a resource handy and is giving a +1 bonus to all your allies and +1 bonus to all your characters. Valiant Sword and War Axe will get his up to 6 or 7. He's a good target for Captain of Gondor if Beregond doesn't need the defense bonus.
Beregond is the prime defender in the game as well as this deck. With a Gondorian Shield, there aren't many enemies that will be able to scratch him. In a quest with higher attack enemies or lots of attack increasing shadows, Captain of Gondor will give him another small boost.
Prince Imrahil will be doing a lot of questing, so is a good target for The Red Arrow. Don't be afraid to chump block with a weaker ally to ready him if you need his attack, and he's a good target for your second copy of Valiant Sword.

Jan 19, 2025Yeah, I didn't include Foe-hammer because there was too much of a risk of it being a dead card. Valiant Sacrifice is a good idea. The deck could definitely use some card draw. |
No Foehammer here seems dubious
