the base-concept is (equal to the not-updated version) to draw like a madman with the contract used on Entmoot and The Eagles Are Coming! ther are only 9 cards that are not ent or eagle, so u will draw 4 cards with 1 use of Entmoot or The Eagles Are Coming! once a round, that makes 5 cards draw per round (mulligan for 1 of these 2 and you might draw another one within the 5)

with this card you have

this was the basestrategy even in the earlier version. her it comes in addition with:

be wise with the readying, you can ready Gwaihir only once a phase with that ability. time the options well

everything else is like the old version see here: https://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/20223/entsandeagles-1.0 just start with the discount for ents and nit eagle

This is the first time I have fully read through The Last Alliance contract, because it always seemed confusing, but looking at how you have implemented it, it finally makes sense to me.

A friend also recently built a deck which massively leverages Faunith's ability to great effect, so I am curious how this plays out.

i have some thoughts to your post:

  • first, i myself had some issues to understand that contract completely, and i have mathematical and scientific backround (and it was releases before i was part of the AleP-team)
  • i think it is of the of the best cards AleP ever released, but perhaps not the optimal way in wording, but to make it the way it should be it would be challenging to word it much more easier (just to add a 2. trait to another would clearly be to much op, but to make the trait-thing a signifikant benefit is dancing on an edge)
  • there are more effective way to use this contract, but i rate eagles and ents as kind of weaker traits and this way give them a way to play them and remain thematicially (in the primordial way of fantastic creature-folks that exist this way only in middle-earth) the contract raise them to a decent playable concept to play
