Try very hard to draw Helm of Secrecy turn 1 to swap Erestor for Pippin and keep your hand. Use Drinking Song if necessary. Ideally you can draw copies of Elrond's Counsel in the opening to use with Erestor and manage the extra threat before he is discarded. Otherwise hope you can get Arwen Undómiel so that they are not dead cards.
