Apr 06, 2016Slow, Needs visionary leadership out soon if going solo for questing, burning brand is also a good addition to make denethor a better defender, once allies start stacking it can become powerful with the gondor bonuses. A spirit/tactics(defense) deck with gondor allies is nice compliment. |
Apr 06, 2016I made a similar deck at one point... my final verdict was that the trap mechanic fell flat for me because any enemy worth taking the effort to trap is an enemy that is "immune to <attachments, non-morgul attachments, player card effects, etc etc>". Are you seeing the same sort of thing? |
Apr 06, 2016I would say that the trap mechanic is fairly good these days with Damrod. Perhaps prior to Damrod it was a bit frivolous. There are lots of enemies that hit hard. Things like Ambush and Ranger Spikes can be really useful for buying some time and working around enemies. I used a trap support deck with a Gondor army deck to beat the dread realm fairly soundly. So no complaints with the archetype from me. |

Nice work with a limited card pool. How's it fared in practice?
