Oct 25, 2017Hi dalestephenson, thank you for your reflection! Let me explain some things. Originally I had really 3 Sneak Attacks, especially for Gandalf. However, in the game I had unusable Sneak attacks, which I couldn't utilize. In addition, when I have made some changes, I decide to take out one Sneak attack. Even then, I have no problem to get Gandalf into the game. But I didn't realize, that Sneak attack can prepare Prince Imrahil for another action, thank you for this finding.:) I was choosing between West Road Traveller and The Riddermark's Finest. If I could, I would choose West Road Traveller as a next ally to my deck. However, I have decided for the second one for its ability "place 2 progress tokens on the locations", which helps me a lot in the practice. I think, that the ability of West Road Traveller is benefit only in some scenarios, because in some I'm not interested in location switching. Though, for example in Hills of Emyn Muil it could be strong advantage. Finally, 3 Song of Travel is possibly not so necessary. 2 copies could be enough. But it helps me in games a lot.:) And Steward of Gondor? Originally I used it for Eowyn (and with Parting Gifts I could move resources wherever I wanted). However, I had often excess of unusable resources of Eowyn, beceause of lack of expensive spirit cards (excluding Northern Tracker and Elfhelm). When I attached Steward of Gondor to Tactic hero, summoning Eagles (with help of Radagast) hasn't been problem already. The Radagast do his job very well. At the end, excuse me for my clumsy English.:) |
It's clear you have two multiple core sets available, so why only 2 copies of Sneak Attack? It's usually great, but especially great with Prince Imrahil as one of your heroes.
I see from the other deck you are using cards from Return to Mirkwood (Eagles of the Misty Mountains, but I don't see West Road Traveller among your questing allies. At 2 willpower for 2 cost, it's the most efficient quester in the first cycle.
Do you find you really need three Song of Travel? With Théodred you can consistently generate 2 spirit resources per turn without it. Does Steward of Gondor typically go on the other deck to pay for expensive eagles?
