Oct 28, 2017You don't need leadership to buff Tom's deffense, the two Ring Mail are the best buff to a hobbit Defense you can get because it bufs both defense and hit points. Also, you will use Friend of Friends on Tom and Merry, so you buff both Tom's Defense and Hit Points and Merry Attack. You will use Rosie Cotton too, to buff Tom's Defense or Merry Attack if you need. I would put two Dagger of Westernesse for Merry, but instead i'm trying with Two Rohan Warhorse that give him extra-attacks, maybe one warhorse and one Dagger will be optimal. My Favorite Target for Sword-thain will be a hobbit hero, usually Sam because that way it generates the spirit resources you need for his own skill, but it could be Robin Smallburrow if you're in lack of lore resources, or Farmer Maggot if you need more tactics resources. It's important that you use it on a hobbit yo buff the attack trait from Merry and the engagement increase from Pippin. The deck is on test, i'm thinking on some variation, making slots for 3Erebor Hammersmith to reuse the Secret Vigils, or even 3Gandalf (Core) and 3*Born Aloft. |
It's unusual to see Merry without Dagger of Westernesse, but I suppose with Tom Cotton's ability you aren't lacking for attack. It's a pity that there's no leadership to buff Tom's defense, but Rosie Cotton can do that. I'd be tempted to run three copies of her just to be sure she can get out early. What's your favorite target for Sword-thain?
