This deck is really similar to the deck I recorded a video on last week. Start in secrecy for a bit of an explosive start, ramp into big allies, and win the game.

But, instead of focusing on sheer ally throughput, this variation uses Out of the Wild and The Door is Closed! to try and keep the encounter deck under control.

Deck Strategy:

Just like last time, you really want to see some resources in your opening hand. The allies are generally quite expensive, but very useful to go along with that.

I've got more 2x copies of key allies this time, because we're a bit less likely to be able to get them all in play at once.

For Into Ithilien specifically, you need something big to come down turn one, otherwise you'll get stuck dealing with at least one enemy you'd rather leave alone. In the video I started with Sneak Attack and Gandalf, but Timely Aid into anything with at least two attack is probably reasonable. You can even Timely Aid to pull Gandalf out of the deck, because there's a very good chance you'll lose if you don't.

Final Thoughts:

Like I said in the video, I wanted to change the hero lineup a bit here. Unfortunately, every swap I tried just seemed a little bit worse. A little bit more dependent on drawing the right cards at the right time, instead of just having the power to work with what you've got.

Next video isn't going to be a Secrecy deck, though, so you can rest assured I know how to play other heroes!

The video is on youtube here, if you want to check it out!
