Hey everyone,
Chris here with another deck built around clearing locations and opening presents! But this time, we've got lore for Master of the Forge and the occasional Elf-stone.
And Gríma reminds me a bit of the Grinch, so I'm counting that as a theme win.
Card Choices:
Master of the Forge is the big new addition here, relative to the previous deck. So many of the key cards are attachments that a guaranteed (almost) attachment draw can do a ton of work.
And I went with Gríma, because his resource acceleration allows me to play the Master of the Forge on turn one, hopefully finding one of the location attachments. And then, once that train is rolling, Grima's ability is probably not going to be used again.
I have still kept the elves and the Faramir combo, though I apparently forgot Unexpected Courage in the version that made it into the video.
And I've included a few more big allies, to take advantage of Elf-stone.
Final Thoughts:
Emyn Muil is still an easy quest. Though given that this deck is short two willpower compared to the previous one, I'm not sure I would have been able to quest past the initial location lock from the previous video.
But once it gets rolling, it is still a lot of fun to get huge infusions of cards and resources from the attachments. And I'll never get tired of core set Beorn, especially in non-Tactics decks.
