Darkling Door 6446

This is a deck built from just Core Set + The Sands of Harad cards for Path Less Traveled, an ongoing series on my blog, Darkling Door.

Played Against: The Long Arm of Mordor

Leading the deck

This is a fairly aggressive deck with high combat potential right out of the gate.

One thing to note is that the deck lacks a consistent defender. The Heroes have big hit point pools, though, so in the early game it's easy to take an undefended attack or two, using Glorfindel's ability or the Daughter of the Nimrodel to slowly heal them back up to do it again.

Ideally, though, once Gimli is all hulked up I want to be using cards like Feint or Quick Strike to cancel Enemy attacks before they even happen, and then taking them out in one hit. Any of the Allies can make decent chump blockers too, in a pinch.

In general, though, most of the Allies should be helping out during the Quest Phase. Due to the low of Core Set + Sands of Harad Allies, this deck doesn't really have a strong questing ramp, so I want to keep pumping out 1- Allies as fast as possible. The Heroes can all help out during the questing phase, too, especially on pivotal turns when Location lock is starting to rear its ugly head.

I played this deck solo, but due to its lack of consistent generation I feel like it might shine brighter as a multiplayer deck that focuses on the combat side of things.

If I have two Cores, what cards would you add to make the 50 deck?
