Mr. Underhill 4161
I made this deck to go up against The Watcher in the Water for my regular 4-player game night.
The idea is to take advantage of the draw and discard effects of the Noldor while using Straight Shot to discard the 0 DEF tentacle enemies present in this scenario. The bonus of Straight Shot is that it is an any phase action, so can be used during the quest phase to lower threat in the staging area. However, the deck works just fine without that janky combo, and I've played it alongside this deck to beat several other quests. The reason I used Hama is because I wanted to recur Straight Shot / Feint, either of which can be kept in hand for the next turn using a Silver Harp. If you wanted to adapt this for other scenarios, Goblin-cleaver could be a good substitute for Straight Shot.
Any feedback? Let me know :)

Apr 23, 2016Yes it does, and having played this deck I think Legolas is probably a better fit for this idea than Hama. I couldn't use Legolas as another player typically brings him to our game night, but using him would make the Rivendell Blades well worth it. I also found that I didn't get that many opportunities to recur Straight Shot as the game ended pretty quickly, so Hama isn't really necessary for this deck to work at all. |
Apr 23, 2016Legolas would probably make this deck more viable for solo play as well. |
Does Rivendell Blade pair well with Straight Shot? If so, I'd recommend those over the Daggers.
