The Nine Walkers

This is a fun little fellowship meant to be played with the quests from The Road Darkens (since Fellowship Frodo is the ninth character). There are no allies in any of the decks with the exception of Bill the Pony and (the memory of) Rosie Cotton. Not only is this thematic, but it does help to take the teeth out of some of the encounter cards in The Ring Goes South and Breaking of the Fellowship.

Gameplay-wise, the Bond of Friendship deck is mostly focused on questing, with some emergency combat being handled by Boromir and the overpowered Blood/Fire/Steward combo. The Three Hunters deck takes care of most of the combat, with Aragorn being able to pull some engaged enemies off of the Friendship deck in the early game if necessary. The Gandalf deck is mostly built to get him set up with Shadowfax and a bunch of readies early on so he can help with Sentinel and Ranged combat as much as possible.
