Rings of Power

Roka 1665

Description

I believe that the new Magic Ring is an amazing card that makes a lot of decks better. The problem is that being limited to one per deck, it's hard to get him into play. This fellowship tries to get around this problem, using Thurindir to play Gather Information immediately. After completing it, every player gets his ring out.

The Noldor and the dwarf deck are very standart decks, using the typical discard and ally swarming mechanics to cover most of the questing. The Hobbit deck is your main combat deck! Frodo Baggins and Tom Cotton can handle two enemies per turn and Merry and boosted Hobbit have a lot of attacking potential. With all this rings in play, the last deck uses Aragorn and Desperate Alliance to keep the threat of all players under control.

What a fun idea! I like that your hobbit deck turns out to be your combat deck. Quite ironic.

Thematically, I'm a bit confused as to why you didn't use Cirdan, Elrond, and Galadriel as the heroes for your elven deck. We have those rings!! Why not use them?
