Comments and suggestions are much appreciated—I'm here to learn.
I built this deck after opening The Hunt for Gollum adventure pack for the first time, so I included lots of cards from that pack simply to find out what it was like playing with them.
Built For: The Hunt for Gollum
Approach
Limitations: Core Set + The Hunt for Gollum
Heroes: Bilbo Baggins is included because he's the hero in this adventure pack. Glorfindel is the Core Set hero with the most willpower. I wanted to include a hero because I included a lot of cards from The Hunt for Gollum, and I chose Théodred to keep the starting threat down.
Allies: I had heard that questing is more important than combat in The Hunt for Gollum, so I included allies with willpower. Most are allies since two of the heroes are , but Faramir is great when questing even though it may take some work to pay for him with resources. Three of Gandalf is always a must.
Attachments: Celebrían's Stone is key when questing, and Steward of Gondor helps pay for expensive cards. Song of Kings is a new attachment in this pack that will allow non- heroes ( in this case) pay for cards. Dúnedain Mark was added simply because it's new in this pack.
Events: Campfire Tales and Strider's Path are new events in this pack. Sneak Attack is one of the best events available can potentially double the times you can use Gandalf. I haven't used Common Cause much in the past, but I thought it might allow me to use Glorfindel more than once per round.
Played Against: The Hunt for Gollum on 2018-11-30 and won (follow link for details).
