Smeagol/Gollum Deck 1.0

Here is a take on using the new Sméagol card. With a starting threat of 18, most engagement costs will be above the threat. So most, if not all, of these cards can be used to their full potential.

There is a lot of synergy with this deck:

First Goal: Get Sam Gamgee out and make him a hero. He can then pay for his own ability, which will come in handy with all the threat increasing cards (Sméagol, The Ring of Power, and The Ruling Ring).

Questing: Get Rosie Cotton, Merry, and Faramir out. In a single turn, Merry and Faramir can boost Rosie Cotton to 4 and with a Fast Hitch, she can quest, ready, buff Frodo Baggins's and then Frodo can ready her so she can then buff Tom Cotton in the Combat phase. Frodo Baggins with Celebrían's Stone and Rosie Cotton and Faramir buffing him gives him 9.

Smeagol/Gollum/Tom Cotton: Hopefully Sméagol sticks around long enough to play Fast Hitch, but once Gollum comes out, the goal is to stay engaged with him as long as possible. That will activate all the "after you engage" or "while you are engaged" cards. With only 2 attack, Tom Cotton can handle Gollum biting him. Tom Cotton beefed up with Ring Mail and/or Dagger of Westernesse will be a powerhouse, handling all the defending/attacking with a Fast Hitch. Farmer Maggot and Pippin get nice bonuses from Tom Cotton and can help out where needed.

The deck uses The One Ring and The Ring of Power, even though those are listed in the Sideboard. Adding The One Ring gets counted as a card when it is added to the Main Deck, but there are Setup instructions on it, so it should never be considered as part of the Main Deck. The same is true with one Master card and the Fellowship card.
