Hobbits heroes with Support of the Eagles

Limited cardpool using only Core x 2, Shadows of Mirkwood Cycle, and Black Riders.

End product once setup: Pippin + Sam with Eagles of the Misty Mountains questing; Sam and Eagles defending; and Merry single-handedly doing 10+ damage per attack.

Mulligan for Steward of Gondor and attach it to Merry to be able to afford all of the Tactics cards. This deck relies on pumping out Eagle allies quickly and attaching Support of the Eagles and 2x Dagger of Westernesse on Merry.

Quest with Pippin and Sam. Get Valiant Sacrifice ready for any Eagle allies that leave play to increase your card draw. Try to time Valiant Sacrifice so that the leaving Eagle ally will buff Eagles of the Misty Mountains. Hobbit Cloak on Sam Gamgee will allow you to engage higher threat enemies much sooner and get defense bonuses so that Sam can defend and Merry can destroy them.

Once Eagles of the Misty Mountains and Support of the Eagles are both in play, you can play around with how you manage your Eagles. I usually Quest with the Eagles of the Misty Mountains and let any spare Vassal of the Windlord and Winged Guardian sit around ready for any extra needed attacks or defense.

Get Henamarth Riversong out as soon as you can to peek into the encounter deck all the time. This can save your Hobbits from Treacheries during the staging phase. Song of Battle on Sam Gamgee will allow him to borrow defense from the Eagles using another Support of the Eagles.

Play The Eagles Are Coming! before any other draw, and you can play another one as soon as you draw it. Elf-stone allows you to afford expensive Eagle allies like Eagles of the Misty Mountains and Landroval.

Fast Hitch should be played on Merry first so that he can quest and attack in the same round, then to Sam Gamgee, then maybe Pippin.

Other options, throw in a third Support of the Eagles, and place another on Merry to let him go Super Saiyan. Support of the Eagles is not unique and does not require Eagles to exhaust so you can actually use the same Eagle to boost Defense or Attack more than once.

A third Feint might be something to consider.
