This is the deck I used to defeat Under the Ash Mountains for my Single Core Series.

This is a quest that you realize very quickly if your deck is going to work against it. The quest is not very forgiving and you discard a lot of cards. So, Caldara seems like a natural fit for this. You want allies in your discard pile and this quest does that for you.

But why Dáin Ironfoot? The answer is I built a deck that is perfectly suited to have cards discarded, so his ability goes along nicely with it. Nori is here to give some threat reduction but more importantly he is another target for Dwarf Pipe. Smoking solves a lot of your problems here. The pipe allows you to decide if the card that you discarded is one you want to put back in your deck. If you get 2 pipes out you can basically negate the end of the round effect of this quest.

Lots of allies here, try to get Prince Imrahil in play before you trigger Caldara to maximize her ability. Reforged is amazing to get those attachments out of your discard pile and into play.

@doomguard I think with a full carpool you can build around the treacheries instead of relying on that.
