Wandering in the summer in the woods of Neldoreth [Beren] came upon Lúthien, daughter of Thingol and Melian, at a time of evening under moonrise, as she danced upon the unfading grass in the glades beside Esgalduin. Then all memory of his pain departed from him, and he fell into an enchantment...

-- J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion

About this deck

A well rounded Dúnedain/Noldor deck, suitable for solo or multiplayer.

This deck shares a lot of similarities with another Dúnedain deck I've published, you might want to check it out.

Both deck are based on the same idea: Círdan the Shipwright + NaryaAragorn + Elessar + Estel.

With attachments, Aragorn and Círdan, both provide and icons, card filtering and ways to ready allies and/or boost their stats.

Aragorn provides better combat stats and the opportunity to start with the and the readying ability at the cost of some questing and early card filtering.

How to play

Aragorn starts with Elessar and the resurce icon. This attachment will help with early game defenses and allows to play A Very Good Tale.

This deck plays like a traditional Noldor deck: play To the Sea, to the Sea! as soon as possible and start swarming allies. You can use the contract to play dúnedain allies with To the Sea, to the Sea!

Playing A Very Good Tale during the refresh pahse, before Ranger of Cardolan would leave play allows to play allies for no cost.

Sideboard

The deck works fine without Steward of Gondor, if you do drop it remove the second copy of Lords of the Eldar, maybe a copy of Estel and a copy of The Renewer for consistency or Tale of Tinúviel for theme.

Nice deck and description. I would add Imladris Caregiver, Thorongil (for Aragorn) , Grey Companion, and Heirs of Earendil. I would cut Steward of Gondor. With access to Aragorn you could replace it with Legacy of Númenor. I would also replace Dúnedain Watcher with Sword that was Broken and Celebrían's Stone. Consider adding Warden of the Havens as another target for Wandering Spirit.

@NERD thanks! I do like most of your suggestions especially to improve theme: the whole Thorongil/Grey Companion/Legacy of Númenor feels really synergistic both mecanichally and thematically. Also Imladris Caregiver colud be great improve healing and probably worth at least a couple of spots in the deck (maybe removing 1xEregion Survivor and 1xSailor of Lune) to provide more flexibility.

I do not think Sword that was Broken, Celebrían's Stone, and Warden of the Havens would be adding anything to the deck tough. There is no need for more questing, I've managed to beat Attack on Dol Guldur on first attempt placing 28 progress on The Power of Lorien (preatty good for solo)!

Dúnedain Watcher is really good, the easy access to resource generation in the deck helps offset her only donwside (being overpriced): most of the times she costs 2 resources (due to the last alliance and the deck beign slightly biased toward noldors) and often cancels game ending effects. She also hepls if you want to play it more like a Dúnedain deck.
