The Thematic Saga continues with Flight to the Ford

In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests.

Frodo Baggins has been stabbed.

Aragorn needs to to get him to Rivendell before he fades completely. The rest of the company are not sure if they can make the long journey in time. Aragorn, being a Rune-master, finds an Elf-Stone on the Last Bridge and deciphers that help may be near.

Glorfindel arrives on Asfaloth after searching the wilds for the travelers per Elrond's Counsel. With his help they are able to escape the pursuing Black Riders through the Ford of Bruinen.

For this build I got the opportunity to put in some of the events that depend on having a unique Dunedain and a unique Noldor character. Fair and Perilous, Heirs of Earendil and Tale of TinĂºviel are very powerful with Aragorn and Glorfindel as your heroes. These will help you get through the Ford and deal with all of The Nine.

It is also a Tower of Aragorn build, with Sword that was Broken, Ring of Barahir, and some Unexpected Courage.

Lembas is here instead of the more thematic Miruvor. I needed access to some healing and unfortunately miruvor does not help with that.

I had also considered a Victory Display type build, to represent the company sneaking through the wilds. But, it was not strong enough to handle this quest in time.

Happy Questing!

This decklist looks awesome. Starting threat of 23 is great value when you consider how powerful that hero lineup is.

First time I've ever seen Rune-master in a deck too. Looking forward to watching the vid.

@Marctimmins89 thanks! Funny you should mention that card, I have misplayed it every time I have used it! I was putting the resource on the hero with the Rune Master, not the hero who the signal was attached to. One of the benefits of making videos is I get to learn about mistakes (and hopefully learn FROM them!!) Happy Questing
