I tried a 2 heroes deck using the contract At the End of All Things with only Core-set cards. With it I was able to get through Journey Along the Anduin and the 2 Quests from The Dark of Mirkwood.
The Heroes
Théodred is now 2 3 2 5 and his ability compensates for the lack of ressources as a result of the absence of a third hero. Attach Unexpected Courage to him as soon as possible.
Éowyn is now 5 2 2 4 . Use Celebrían's Stone to raise her to 7.
Gameplay
The first rounds might be tricky, especially if you don't have Unexpected Courage but the low starting threat (25) definitely helps.
Turn 4 :
- Flip At the End of All Things to get 6 extra ressources and add 2 chosen cards of your deck to your hand. Add Beorn and Unexpected Courage or Stand and Fight (there is a high probability that you have at least one copy of one of these two cards in your hand at this point). Gandalf, Celebrían's Stone, Sneak Attack and The Galadhrim's Greeting are also good target options in some situations.
- Discard Beorn using Éowyn's ability then play Stand and Fight to put him into play using the extra ressources gained by flipping At the End of All Things after the quest phase.
