This is part of my "cycle progression" playthrough, where I get access to all of the cards from a cycle at once, in addition to the prior cycles. For the Against the Shadows (AtS) cycle, that includes the core (Core), Shadows of Mirkwood (SoM), Khazad-dum (KD), and The Hobbit (TH).
My initial take on this deck was to go Gondor swarm with Boromir and the two objective allies but I ended up shamelessly stealing TheChad's Single Core Series: Blood of Gondor Hail of Stones idea. Once I saw it, what was seen could not be unseen and it wouldn't get out of my mind.
If you get a Hail of Stones in your starting hand, use Aragorn's and Boromir's readying and kill the NĂºmenorean in Round 1 staging.
My strategy was to keep The Cross-roads in play the entire game for siege questing, so I went heavy with defense options like Vassal of the Windlord, Defender of Rammas, and Gondorian Shield.
I probably could have dropped Eagles of the Misty Mountains as I never really had the cash for them. Maybe sub with Envoy of Pelargir.
