DECK NAME - Sneaky Little Hobbitses

https://youtu.be/xZ0caMqJ_bY

OVERVIEW: A can't-lose deck with Fatty and Pippin? I'm just as surprised as you are! But this little deck really works! Wins easily in 8-10 rounds.

HEROES

STRATEGY

  • SETUP - I usually mulligan for Hobbit Pipe or Legacy of Númenor, but mostly I want an immediately useful hand
  • STAGE 1 - after the planning phase we get to play one card for free, draw one into our hand, shuffle one into our deck, and discard one; if you have Legacy of Númenor in your opening hand you will do well
  • STAGE 2 - turtle here as you draw your hand quickly; I usually advance around round 6-7
  • STAGE 3 - be sure your board state is set up before moving on
  • STAGE 4 - make sure to have Bilbo Baggins ready to chump against The Watcher in the Water; Hasty Stroke will insure no extra attacks; Sneak Attack Gandalf in and use Beorn's action to free Frodo from the Watcher; quest for the win in the following round
  • Arwen Undómiel - needed to play Elrond's Counsel
  • Beorn - brought into play using A Good Harvest; used to free Frodo from The Watcher
  • Bilbo Baggins - 3X copies included to get Hobbit Pipe card draw rolling
  • Frodo's Intuition - this card is pretty much broken in a deck with 4 hobbit heroes
  • Hasty Stroke - save for The Watcher
  • Legacy of Númenor - this card works great with this deck since the engagement costs of all the enemies is fairly high
  • Sneak Attack / Gandalf - you'll want to draw cards at first but eventually he can clear enemies in staging
  • TIP - make sure to always keep one hero ready in case a Crebain from Dunland comes out
