My latest attempt at creating a workable Strider deck! This deck starts at a minuscule 14 threat for two main reasons: Strider and Gandalf! A quick glance at this deck shows that several slots are taken up by his arsenal (Gandalf's Staff, Shadowfax, Narya) but the wizards himself is not a hero. This is because the goal is to get Gandalf into play by turn 3, and either ride him to victory, or to ruin.

Starting Hand: Strider, Resourceful or Necklace of Girion are the main cards to see, as they give the resource generation and questing power this deck needs to get humming. Thurundir gurantees Gather Information will be in your starting hand as well to fill in anything that is missed. Gandalf is great to see in the opening hand, but will usually be what Gather Information is used to get from the deck.

Resources: On turn 1, this deck only has two resources to work with. Any Resourceful drawn should be played as soon as possible to help afford the needed expensive cards (#Gandalf, #Treebeard). After a few rounds, this deck should be earning at least 4 resources a round coming from Resourceful, Necklace of Girion, Treebeard or Gandalf's Staff.

Gameplay This deck starts small and meek with a large questing push, but should move into a more dominant position once Gandalf is in play. His ability to quest for four and defend/attack for four transforms this deck into a military powerhouse, particularly when he is backed up by Treebeards Ents and Shadowfax.
