Building decks is hard, at least for me. First I have to come up with a cool concept or interaction, and then I have to devote a lot of time and effort to figuring out how to make sure I actually draw it, pay for it, and generally just make it work.

Deckbuilding would be a lot easier if I didn't have to worry about the whole "drawing the pieces" part or the "paying for the pieces" part. Enter this deck. At first, it might look like a Platypus because it doesn't do much. But it's not a Platypus; it's a Wolf.

You ain't got no problem, Jules. I'm on the mf'er. Go back in there, chill them [people] out and wait for the Wolf, who should be coming directly. You sending the Wolf?! Feel better, mf'er? [heck] yeah, Negro! That's all you had to say!

You may notice that, at 44 cards, this deck isn't "tournament legal". When you get to the table, ask the other players what the most important cards in their deck are. Then put them in your deck, use the massive amounts of card draw, (most of it recyclable), to drill down to them in a hurry, and then pass them around the table.

Other player having trouble affording those cool toys? Not to worry! Imladris Stargazer + Zigil Miner can load Elrond up with resources, and then Desperate Alliance passes him to the cash-strapped player trying to get their combo up and running. Elrond can naturally pay for allies of any sphere, (plus neutral, which is not a sphere), and with Vilya he can naturally pay for events/attachments from Lore and Spirit.

Are the cards you're passing Leadership or Tactics, though? Feel free to toss in some Songs of Kings or Battle, (which will improve your resource generation). If Elrond gets rich enough, he doesn't even have to pass the cards; he can play them himself.

Still too expensive? Imladris can set up a teammate's deck so that when you Desperate Alliance Elrond, your teammate can use Vilya to get stuff into play, too.

Are all of your Seeing-stone / Deep Knowledge plays bumming out the secrecy player? Song of Eärendil and Elrond's Counsel let you mitigate the Doomed, letting them enjoy all that extra draw without worrying about all that extra threat. Tale of Tinúviel in the sideboard is a huge win if you want to actually do something, and also generates resources through Love of Tales.

Also, the deck includes Warden of Healing because... Elrond.

Included in the sideboard are a few of the "card search" effects to help pull matching pieces, as well as a bit more card draw if you find it necessary. It's probably overkill, though.

I like this deck if for no other reason than it includes Message from Elrond in a meaningful role.

I will admit that like 50% of my deckbuilding since RingsDB has gone live consists of searching for unique cards that nobody uses and trying to make them work.

I might be missing something here, but doesn't Message from Elrond shuffle the card you passed back into your deck if it is in play or in the player's hand? So you could only get allies and attachments out for one round.
