This is a progression style deck designed for Shadow and Flame in solo. So far, the win rate is 4 out of 4.
Overview of the strategy: Use Frodo Baggins in the first half of the game to take hits from Durin's Bane while your board state gets set up. Vilya takes care of the rest.
Cards were carefully chosen so that you will rarely get a dud with Vilya. There's 1 copy of each unique unless it "leaves play". We have 3x Master of the Forge for fishing out Vilya and shuffling the deck. 3x Imladris Stargazer for optimizing Vilya in the early game. These two allies double as chump blockers! Don't keep using Stargazer once you have a decent suite of allies; the deck is strong enough to play Vilya blind.
All other allies were chosen only if they had a minimum of 2 or 2. You will need both questing and attack to do well.
Copies of Resourceful go on Elrond to pay for allies that end up in your hand. Citadel Plate goes on Gimli. Unexpected Courage goes to service whatever you need at the moment which is typically having one of your heroes both quest and defend. I usually give 1 copy to Elrond first, though, so his stats aren't wasted.
Daughter of the Nimrodel is a fun combo piece. Since we're playing with Elrond, she heals for 3. Get 2 copies on the table and you can tank Durin's Bane with Gimli (with Citadel Plate of course), hit back, and then heal the damage off after the combat phase.
