This deck relies heavily on certain cards but is one of the most reliable combat decks I've ever played once it gets rolling.

The objective of this deck is to engage as many enemies as possible and use Thicket of Spears to negate all of their attacks, then make use of all of the Dunedain cards that give you ridiculous abilities when you have lots of enemies engaged.

Amarthiúl is necessary to be able to use all of the great Dunedain leadership cards, but still stay within tactics to make sure you can play thicket. Plus, his extra resource is always nice. Once you get a few enemies engaged, Heir of Valandil will let you play your Dunedain allies for free.

Aragorn lets you pull enemies off your teammates, allowing them to focus on the quest as well as increasing the capabilities of your Dunedain cards.

Háma is necessary to recycle Thicket of Spears. Once that loop gets rolling though, you're practically invincible.

Thicket of Spears is the most important card in this deck - negating every attack thrown at you, and recoverable by Háma. Once you have thicket, start engaging ever enemy you can. You are absolutely mulliganning for this card.

Once you have a decent amount of enemies engaged, use Heir of Valandil to play any Dunedain allies for free. With these allies, you can either engage more enemies (Son of Arnor) or gain ridiculous stats to protect other players (Guardian of Arnor/Fornost Bowman).

This deck plays best in a 2-player scenario (assuming the other player has a mostly questing deck), but also runs pretty well in 3-4 player. I played this deck in a 4 player game of Voyage Across Belegaer and we beat it in three turns because I just kept pulling enemies and held them (killing some for Aragorn's ability and removing others from the staging area).

The biggest problem with this deck is that to keep recycling thicket, you have to discard cards, so card playability is limited unless you can get a drawing engine going. In this list I have Rod of the Steward to combo with Steward of Gondor and Amarthiúl to get extra cards, but if you guys can think of a better way to do it, feel free to suggest it!

To replace the Rod of the Steward, consider my favorite Hama trick: Song of Travel and Elven-light. It's a little less consistent, requiring two cards instead of one, but it's a lot more efficient- four times more from a resource standpoint. Instead of two resources for one card, it's one resource for two cards-- the one you draw, and the light itself, which returns to hand ready to fuel another Hama discard.

I sometimes joke that Hama, and not Elladan, is the true Tactics Noldor hero.

I would probably get rid of either the Honour Guard, The Son of Arnor and Dunedain Mark. I would then probably put in Dagger of Westernesse and Foe-Hammer. As an alternative, I would put in sneak attack and the Sarn Ford Sentry. You should maybe include 3x Gandalf instead of 2x.

Anyways, great idea and great deck in General!

Thanks for all of the advice, guys! There have been quite a few iterations of this deck that I played before posting it, but all of their weaknesses have been lack of card draw. I'll definitely try these ideas and I appreciate the suggestions!
