This deck is intended as a one-hand solo deck for the Land of Shadow saga quests. It's largely centered around engagement shenanigans and has been successful but at the moment I'm not super confident with the way it's constructed and would welcome feedback.
It's worth mentioning that in my campaign Sam has both Ranger-related boons (hence why Staff of Lebethron is in the sideboard rather than the main deck, as Sam already has the ability to discard shadow cards). Getting Sting onto Sam is really key here and I've considered including Galadriel to facilitate that but this deck is big enough as it is.
The starting threat is uncomfortably high for how engagement-cost oriented this deck is, so using Gandalf's threat reduction ASAP is really important in keeping this deck functional.
The sideboard cards are largely there to turn this deck from "engagement effect" focused to a more straightforward trap deck.
Damrod and Faramir are primarily questers, with Sam serving as primary defender (and attacker, with Taste it Again! or a Fast Hitch attached). Wingfoot allows Damrod or Faramir to serve as supplementary attackers. Alternatively, depending on the quest Faramir can work just as well as a defender with Sam serving as quester+attacker. The choice of defender ends up hinging on enemy engagement costs and attack values.
It looks like this deck is biased towards Lore but between Ranger/Hobbit cost reduction and Anborn's trap cost reduction getting enough Lore resources isn't usually an issue.
Works best with Land of Shadow Frodo Baggins.
