The two key cards to get this deck going are Song of Battle and Light of Valinor. I usually target Gimli with Song of Battle first and Light of Valinor goes on Legolas. Ultimately, you want to get it on all three heroes in order to use War Axe. Erestor seems to build the most resources, so adding Song of Travel and Song of Battle to him helps pay for the attachments. He also gets Unexpected Courage.
Typically, I quest all three heroes and then ready Gimli with Legolas. Gimli is used to defend with Armored Destrier and Legolas is used to attack. Erestor fills in where needed.
I'm considering trying Gimli, but I like having his ability available if needed.
