FLeone 9
First try on a Bond of Friendship deck, with fittingly the four core hobbits. In essence the deck tries to combine the strengths of each sphere, including some of the hobbit-specific cards, combined with the powers of the ring.
The pipes fit the theme and work surprisingly well, as the ring takes over part of the other standard Spirit roles. However, can imagine this is a part that could be improved.
Regarding the sideboard:
- Red Book of Westmarch is an option instead of for example sneak attack (which basically is only for Gandalf & Bilbo). Didn't try yet.
- I tested Tighten Our Belts, which is great with four hero's, but the deck normally isn't resource starved. Any card like Steward of Gondor doesn't add much, as it just adds to a single hero, which doesn't add much.
A drawback it isn't playable with the saga expansions (due to Frodo). To keep in the theme (though some of the allies don't necessarily fit the theme either), that would imply including Fatty Bolger, which would probably weaken the deck, but didn't try yet.
So far the first two tests (Vengeance of Morder, River Running & Danger in Dorwinion) worked out really well. Some more testing/playing to go.

Nov 14, 2020does the one ring count in your total? |
Nov 15, 2020its a normal playercard. and you see that you have 51, this program counts right ;) |
Nov 15, 2020Ah, I thought it was like the contracts. In that case I'll change it indeed. The Shirefolk would be a great addition indeed! I don't own it currently though (restricted myself to the cards I currently have). What do you mean with the "taktic-hobbit", |
Nov 15, 2020I did read somewhere that The One Ring doesn't count towards your deck limit. It is at least mentioned here: visionofthepalantir.com though probably there is a better source on that. If that's indeed the case it would make for a contradiction if it doesn't count for the deck limit, but does count towards your number of neutral cards, as you need to have 50 cards in your deck and 10 cards of each sphere + neutral for the contract. |
Nov 15, 2020@tactic-hobbit,yes the sherrif, @ring, its a playerattachement, i cannot found any clue that it does not count for the deck. |
would replace staff of lebetron with the book of westmarch and quickstrike with the taktic-hobbit.
btw. you have a neutral card to much. would additional consider change 2 of them with shirefolk.
